Girls Who Code Clubs are meant for high school girls to join our sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and use Computer Science to change the world. Club members will be able to learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community though interactive activities, and learn about inspiring role models. Members would then work in teams to design and build a Girls Who Code Project that solves real world problems they care about through code!
In its 2nd session of the new semester, the Girls Who Code club members got to learn about some inspiring women in tech and had the opportunity to participate in a special web development activity. With some basic lessons in html, css, and javascript, students were able to code their own websites. Remarkable! The foundation of the Girls Who Code Club is to build the strengths needed to succeed as they learn and grow as coders. Bravery, resilience, creativity & purpose are some of our core concepts.
