APIs & More | Lessons Learned from communicating with outside APIs
Looking to start 2020 off right. Our speaker for the night will be Alex Ginzburg, Lead Software Engineer at Seva, presenting on API Request Flow Control. We will also have a lightning talk on React Tools. Location: CSI Tech Incubator, 60 Bay St #902, Staten Island, NY, 10301 Hosted by: CSI Tech Incubator Agenda 6:30 PM - 6:45 PM Networking 6:50 PM - 6:55 PM Lightning Talk 1: React Tools by Dan Marsh Highlight of React tools that can make developing quicker and easier. 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM API Request Flow Control by Alex Ginzburg When building an API we often think about how fast can we process a request. On the flip side, communicating with an outside API has an opposite problem. In this talk, we will cover some of the ways I solved the request rate control in the past. Have a Lightning Talk idea or a longer talk in mind? Lightning talks will be approximately 5 minutes and can be on anything software engineering related. Reach out to Dan or Alex if you would like to speak at this event (lightning talk) or a future event (lightning/longer).
